Arts Team worked on the refurbishment of Frank Matcham's 1901 lyric theatre in Newcastle — Theatre Royal — which seats 1300.

We undertook conservation and restoration work on the auditorium and its seating, and restored the opulent foyers. A new, grand Matcham-style staircase was added to improve the circulation.

In order to provide new backstage areas, we designed a concrete structure that was inserted behind the building's Georgian façades.
